Raw Food Prep for Zoya the Ragdoll kitten at 15weeks.

Hi guys, welcome to my video This is my beautiful 15 week old American ragdoll Zoya. She is such a sweetheart. Really So Um I got her when she was nine weeks old and Uh… I think they used to feed her some cat food and whatnot. So I gradually got her to feeding raw, Um… I I follow the PMR Principle for raw feed which is a it’s called Prey Model Raw. So where you have 80% Muscle meat and Fat, meat and fat 10% bone 5% secretion organs such as liver and 5% of other non-secretion organs and stuff. So I Also supplement her with I also give her egg but the way I give her egg is different perhaps That’s for a different video and I give her Flax seeds, chia seeds and a mixture of a bunch of seeds as well. Sometimes just to supplement her but her main staple is Chicken and this is with the skin bone everything and I also give her Sheep Liver and the reason I do that is The chicken we get over here These are bred purely for meat and you know, they they don’t they don’t get the normal feed (Diet) of insects and natural greens and uh plant matter So what happens is uh… the chicken livers typically that we get here are Not nutrient dense, you know, so they they lack certain vitamins, vitamin D For example It’s not that rich. So adding sheep liver or goat liver To the mix sort of makes up for it, but you know If you can get a give her a country chicken which which are the colorful variety and They feed (off the land) on natural food and that’s good, but it’s expensive and it’s not available here all the time. So getting down to prepping our food I usually prep for a week and a keep and I keep it in the freezer and then take out Whatever it is that I need for a daily feed now I always measure food Her daily intake and the way I measure is 8 percent of her body weight is her daily food intake She is currently about Two kilos just over two kilos. So I’m giving her about 150 to 160 grams in total. I’ll Split it in two meals so one in the morning and one late evening, or Late afternoon, I should say an early evening. Sorry So the way it goes is this so what I do is I have this really sharp Scissors I use this to cut meat now one thing to remember is whenever you get Whenever you feed raw meat like chicken or red meat for example You want to keep it and freeze it for at least three days the reason for that is It would kill off any parasites on the skin, you know or any bacteria that have developed so Freezing your meat for three days Before you prep the food and then give it is highly recommended So let me take a small piece here. First thing is you weigh your Jar itself First turn it on It’s very important to weigh your food cuz it’s about 12 grams tare it get to zero and Try to give as much bone as possible when she was when she was about nine ten weeks I wouldn’t give her any bone but uh once she got to about 11 weeks I Started giving her a little bit of bone From chicken wings and stuff and then gradually I got her to a level where Except for thigh bones, you know the leg bones Which are there in the chicken quarters She would pretty much Should she’s capable of pretty much chomping down any bone actually so which is very important So you can see I have some skin now what I’ve done with the skin is the skin has been very lightly Sort of roasted with a blowtorch That’s only because I wanted to make sure there were no parasites If there were then, you know, the blowtorch would sort of kill them off Alright guys, so here it is so we’ve got about a hundred and forty-four grams of Meat and a little bit of Organ over there now. I’m gonna add some sheep liver into the mix Let’s see the weight first no about 8 grams of Thing that’s okay. You know what? Although I follow the PMR module, but you don’t have to follow it very Stringently. I mean some variation in weight and Ratios can happen. It’s not the end of the world, you know, so Chop this up very finely It’s very important to I mean at this age She can honk down pretty large pieces as well. It’s not absolutely important to get it done, but you know It helps so some of the larger bones I’ve sort of sheared off from the meat Here it is. And I’ll probably make a soup or something and give it to her later when it comes to chicken wings, you know sometimes so what I do is here we have it’s Frozen so The chicken wings what I do is I would typically cut this off this way with my You know So now I’ve got these two wonderful pieces So these I would give it whole to her so this it’s got bone in it it’s got meat it’s got skin and She sort of You know, will have to wrestle through it and You know She’s capable of crunching these bones right now and she consumes these these full so our whole for that matter, so What this does is it keeps her teeth her teeth healthy? You know She can she can puncture these with her teeth and her teeth would go in deep and as it goes and it sort of cleans her teeth 360 degrees her jaw gets more stronger more muscular more pronounced and you know Will contribute to a larger more muscular head and of course Her need her calcium needs are also fulfilled with this. So basically I’ll give this to her whole as is… Later, but but so this is your this is your meal so this is how much, Is required for a day for a kitten her size So she is about to 2.1 kilos. This is about 155 grams of Food that I’m gonna give her now, so this is what I’m going to do I’m going to prep Prep for all all the other days so for a week or so and then that’s it. I would take I Would take one one of these containers out of the freezer and Thaw it in the refrigerator because these are all going to the freezer and then split it into two meals maybe a little more in the morning say about 85 grams 90 grams of the morning and the rest in the Late afternoon, maybe say four or five (pm) So that’s about it Hope this helped this video helped in understanding and why I go Raw… Well, there are a whole bunch of videos out there that you can do your research on and you’ll find out why need to go raw basically raw has done a whole bunch of good a whole lot of good to do to mind to my baby over here, you know, so My sweetheart so uh Only uh only the best Only the best for my baby. Alright guys. Thanks. Have fun peace, take care, chow… Sit good girl. Good girl sit Yes
